A VASE WITH A CHERRY, Lamarre & Louchet, France, 1898

Art Nouveau vase with an elongated neck and linear infusion. The bulky belly rests on a wide base decorated with floral motifs.

A sprig of holly grows from the base of the vessel, and the twig of it runs along its surface. At the level of the narrowing site, it breaks away from the ceramic material to act as a stylized handle.
