The personification took the form of a young woman whose hair was woven with ivy. This evergreen plant occupies a prominent place in culture. In antiquity, it was associated with deities, with time it gained a number of meanings. Ivy also symbolizes friendship and female strength, which was referred to by the creator of this figure.
