APHRODITE IN BATH, E. Drouot, France, 19th / 20th century

A sculptural representation of Aphrodite with accompanying Eros.

The Greek goddess of beauty moves along the rocky embankment with pleasure. Heading straight for the sea waves, he takes off his outer bathing robe.

At the same time, a thin cloth of draped matter adheres to her naked body, giving the sculpture a sensual overtone.
