Raphael Kirchner (1876-1917) - Austrian illustrator, known for his early pin-up works for the postcard format. It portrayed the beauty of Broadway theater and revue actresses. During World War I, his graphics were published both in magazines and on postcards. Their prints became extremely popular among American soldiers, which is why the circulation of his individual works often exceeded 10,000.
