PLATE - WEDDING STAGE, copper, bronze, India, 19th / 20th century

A plate with decoration in the type horror vacui. The main theme is the wedding scene probably of Shiva and Parvati. The plate's collar is decorated with a repeating ornamental composition with elephants in an antithetical arrangement.
