Clovis DELACOUR (1859-1929) - French sculptor born in Châtillon-sur-Seine developed his artistic career in Paris, where he studied with the sculptor Augustin-Jean Moreau-Vauthier, famous mainly for his chamber works in bones. In 1892 he joined the Société des Artistes Français, participated in the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900, and exhibited at the Royal Academy in London. His works are in numerous museums around the world, for example, Nude with Butterfly is in The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore and Andromeda's work is in the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Liverpool.
