MUSIC CHANDELIER, patinated bronze, 19th century

A monumental lamp with a musical setting. There are five smaller lampshades around the centralizing ball.

The openwork skeleton is based on a ribbon-clamp belt, hiding the characteristic heads of mascarons. It is crowned with full-body muses played on various instruments.

From the intricately elaborated crown emerge busted ladies adorned with flowers and fruit.
