CRANK LIRA, Monte I, 19th century

A six-string lyre with a pear-shaped ending in a crank. Despite the richly decorated wood surface, it obtained a subtle decoration.

The ornaments are based on strip-like pincer arrangements, enriched with wide palmettes. The longitudinal strip covering the keys additionally received small figures of women and men.

The keys are crowned with a sculptural woman's head.
