SUNSET, Paul H. Lafon, France, 19th / 20th century

A sea landscape showing dark sailing ships against the setting sun.

The high horizon allows you to see the silvery tones of calm waves. It is on their surface that the light reflections of the ending day flicker delicately.

The painting is characterized by a thick texture of a color spot, sometimes forming a convex layer of the painted surface.
