ARISTOCRATE, E. Rancoulet, France, 19th century

A bust of a mighty lady in a hat adorned with a magnificent plume.

A young girl turns her head towards the sound she hears. Her thick curls run down a wide, lacy collar topped with a huge bow. And the small neckline of the dress is decorated with a pearl necklace.

Right above the base there is a royal crown, which, together with the heraldic cartouche, refers to its aristocratic origin.
