WOMAN'S BUST, dyed mahogany, 1st half of the 19th century Twentieth century

A bust of an indigenous woman from Africa, most likely from the Fulbe people. This group lives mainly in the western part of the continent. Traditional costumes are characterized by high decorativeness, fancy hairdos and numerous jewelry.
