Lady's Bust, JA CARL, marble, 1897

Sculptural portrait of a lady. The woman is shown in a bold outfit, the dress reveals the neckline, shoulders and part of the back. The image is completed by a bun of hair. The lady appears to be a self-confident woman. She is no longer a young girl, perhaps due to the experience she has acquired, a note of thoughtfulness and melancholy appears in her eyes.
