QUEEN, L. Fournier, France, 19th / 20th century

A majestic statue of the queen shown in a full coronation robe.

The plasticity of the modeling allows you to see the smallest detail of clothing. The cascade arrangement of the drapery was enriched with lily flowers - symbols of the French monarchy, and the corset with woven embroidery.

The dignity of the figure results not only from its iconographic content, but also from the unusual marriage of marble with the large format of the work.
