LILY FLOWER, A. Cipriani, Italy 19th / 20th century

The bust of a long-haired girl with half-closed eyelids. Her long face was accentuated by a slender nose and thin lips.

The slightly tilted head makes it possible to reveal dense strands of hair, the ends of which are touched by the expansive lily flower.

Whole was placed on an angular base.

Adolfo Cipriani (1880-1930) - Italian sculptor, known for his works in alabaster and marble. He specialized in portraying women, both full-figure and bust. His son, Ugo, adopted a passion for sculpture, rejecting academic conventions in favor of the spirit of art deco.
