" Illustrated weekly”- Warsaw illustrated cultural and social magazine, published in the years 1859–1939, founded by Józef Unger. The journal was not related to any political option, it published a lot of historical materials and literary works, it also published reproductions of art works. Many writers collaborated with the magazine, incl. Wincenty Pol, Henryk Sienkiewicz and Eliza Orzeszkowa. In the period of positivism, it was the most popular illustrated weekly in Poland. [Wikipedia]
