A very similar model can be found in the company's catalog from 1906, under the number 7487. A typical Thonet smooth line of furniture provided by bending the wood. The backrest refers to the dovetail motif, additionally tied at the top. The handrail turns into a support, which in turn turns into the front leg. The side rails of the backrest pass into the rear legs. Seat and backrest upholstered.
Thonet, Gebruder Thonet - a company founded by the carpenter Michael Thonet, whose origins date back to the 1830s. Most associated with bent beech wood furniture, including the chair No. 14 manufactured in 1859.
