ROUND BOX, Henin & Vivier, silver, France, 1891-1896

Round box with a lid. Ornamental decoration refers to the rococo design. The edges are surrounded by a shell or wave motif, the smooth surfaces above are filled with stylized volutes and floral details. In the center of the lid there is a cabochon enclosed in a cartouche.
