BINOCLE CASE, Joseph Gloster, Birmingham, 1905-1906

An elongated case for eyeglasses with an arabesque-decorated obverse.

In the center of the decoration there is a panel with an irregular edge line. The whole ornament was inscribed in a dotted border.

The case is hung on a chain topped with a wide palmette. Its leaves were inscribed in stylized volutes. They form a screen frame for the hook.
