PAIR OF ROLLER CANDLES, bronze, 19th century
A pair of candlesticks with three-sided, rollwork profits.
The tibial shafts received images of mascarons caught in long, pearl-like canoeing. They were placed on double rings.
The piled feet received a richly ornamented ornamental decoration based on aegikranions and head cartouches. The whole rests on three curled feet, ending in lion paws.
