Auguste Moreau (1834-1917) - a French sculptor from an artistic family, his brother Mathurin was also a sculptor, and his father Jean Baptiste also painted. Auguste made his debut at the salon in 1861, and until 1913 he regularly exhibited his works. The subject of his sculptures revolves around genre, pastoral and allegory scenes. The grateful and realistic style binds him to other members of the Moreau family.
