CHATELAINE WITH OPENWORK SHIELD, 19th / 20th century

Subtle chatelaine with a wide openwork shield covering a short hook. On its reverse are the initials of the previous owner "FJ".

Attached to a long chain is a tailor's kit with an opening mechanism and a shell-shaped box. Its surface is decorated with a diagonal arrangement of multiplied quadrilaterals.
