A stately dragon made of patinated bronze. The dynamic figure stands on one leg on the base. The dragon is a very important symbol in East Asia, it must be added that, contrary to the perception of this creature in Europe, it is a positive symbol, associated with peace and fertility. Together with the phoenix, unicorn and turtle, it is the "sacred four" of animals, and is especially venerated. The Far Eastern dragon is bound in the element of water, in the paintings it often emerges from waves or clouds. Since the time of the Chinese Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), it is also associated with the person of the emperor.
