The magnificent patinated bronze sculpture depicts a seated woman with a dove in her hand. The French work in the Art Deco style is somewhat reminiscent of ancient Greek sculptures of goddesses emerging from bathing, which often inspired sculptors of the period, including the famous Aristide Maillol. The pose of the woman, the styling and the texture of the sculpture, however, definitely betray the style of interwar sculpture.
