A full-body representation of a young woman. She is shown in a simple tunic, pushing a long, flowing drapery down her shoulder.
She tilts her head and looks at the tall greyhound at her side. With an obvious smile, she strokes the animal's arched back.
The whole thing rests on a simple stone base.
Description
Signature: I. Gallo
Ignacio Gallo (1887-1956) - Spanish sculptor and engraver, graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. In 1912 he made his debut at the Paris Salon with a work titled "Apóstol". He created in accordance with the principles of the art deco style, presenting mainly female nudes, dancers and pagan goddesses.
