A powerful bowl enriched with a centralizing ornamental program.
The bottom of the vessel is decorated with a convex rosette with a spiral compositional arrangement. Preceded by a smooth surface, it refers to the fluted band characterized by a concave profile. The whole is enclosed by a high collar with multiplied flower heads.
In modern Europe, the main center of production of these bowls was Nuremberg. Initially, they were made for decorative purposes, without indicating a specific function. Over time, they began to serve in households for liturgical and barbering purposes.
