A nude depicting a woman probably after getting out of the bath. A slightly idealized and synthetic depiction of the body is characteristic of artists creating in the early Art Deco style. The nude refers somewhat to classical Greek sculptures with numerous images of Venus getting out of the bath.
Description
Lucien Charles Eduar Alliot (1877-1967), a student of Coutan and Barrias, exhibited his sculptures at the Paris Salon from 1896 until the 1930s, and in 1920 received a gold medal for an exhibited work.
Terracotta.
