Affortunato Gory (?-1925) - studied in Florence at the Academy of Fine Arts under the famous Italian sculptor Augusto Rivalti. At the beginning of the 20th century, he moved to Paris and completed his studies under the tutelage of the French sculptor Victorien-Antoine Basset. He created sculptures in bronze, marble, bisque and bone; he exhibited several times at the prestigious Parisian ‘Salon des Artistes Francais’
