Description
A patinated bronze sculpture depicting a Bacchae (or Maenad from Greek mythology), a companion in Bacchus' retinue. The young girl is shown in a dynamic position, with a girded instrument, a cup and of course the most characteristic attribute - grapes. At her feet is an overturned amphora, perhaps a symbol of a past feast. The sculpture is made with great attention to detail.
