Bust of a girl made of patinated bronze. The young woman has loose hair covered with a headscarf, with a thoughtful gaze looking to the side.

France, 2nd half of the 19th century. Signed: ‘Cana’.

Height 38 cm.

Very good state of preservation. 

Louis-Emile CANA (1845 - 1895) - French sculptor of Italian origin, a pupil of Arson. He exhibited works at the Salon between 1863 and 1887; his favourite subjects were representations of women and animals, especially birds.
