Adolphe Willette (1857-1926) - French painter and illustrator. Author of many propaganda lithographs and electoral graphics of the time. Student of Alexander Cabanel, from whom he studied at the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts. His works enjoyed popularity, which is why over time they became cabaret posters, decorations of the windows of the artistic district of Butte Montmartre, or elements of café menus. It was he who decorated the Moulin Rouge in 1889, designing its most recognizable symbol - the red mill above the entrance.
