Franciscus van der Steen (ca.1625 - 1672) - Flemish engraver and painter, student of Alexander Voet the Elder. He created engravings showing the works of old masters, included among others in the Theatrum Pictorium catalogue of Teniers the Younger. In 1656 he was appointed court etcher to Emperor Ferdinand III.

Condition of preservation: good.

Bust representation of Jerzy Sebastian Lubomirski enclosed in an oval band. The man is shown in armor, without headgear. Captured in a three-quarter position, he looks directly at the viewer.

The whole thing has been enriched with an extensive inscription informing about the model's honorific titles: GIORGIO SEBASTIANO LVBOMIRZKI, Conte di Wilnicz e Iaroflau Principe del Sacro Romano Imperio Gran Marelciallo del Regno di Polonia Generale di Campo Generale della minor Polonia, Governor of Cracouia Chmielnicz Nizqn, Olftqn, Pereus lauia e Calimiria.
