PAPER KNIFE, Lemoine, 2nd half 19th century

Paper knife. The straight, rounded blade is combined with a rich hilt. The handle is based on the form of a volute and enriched with a number of elements, the most exposed of which is the floral ornament. Knife in original case.

Most likely the knife's author is an engraver Lemoine, working in Nantes, at 15 rue Grebillon.
