A GIRL'S BUST, after EM FALCONET, bronze, 19th century

A bust of a girl. The young age of the woman is emphasized by the dress revealing the shoulder and neckline, and decoratively pinned up hair. The figure is placed on an architectural base.

The sculpture was made according to the work of Etienne Maurice Falconet (1716-1791) - a French sculptor, author of many famous works, with the patronage of Madame Pompadour.

Bronze, base in stone cladding.
