Description
Clovis DELACOUR (1859-1929) - French sculptor born in Châtillon-sur-Seine, he developed his artistic career in Paris, where he studied with the sculptor Augustin-Jean Moreau-Vauthier, famous mainly for his intimate works in bone. In 1892 he joined the Société des Artistes Français, participated in the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900, and also exhibited at the Royal Academy in London. His works can be found in numerous museums around the world, for example the work Nude with Butterfly is in The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, and the work Andromeda in the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Liverpool.
