STRIPE, bone, 17th century

Bone Passion - a sculptural image of Jesus suffering on the cross. Christ's body was lengthened, thanks to which it gained a distinct slenderness. This treatment emphasizes its extreme tension. The Savior raises his head and gaze up, and a dramatic grimace twists his lips.
