Louis XVI style, Escalier de Cristal, Paris, 19th century
Escalier de Cristal (1802-1923) - the company was founded by Marie Desarnaud, producing the highest quality furniture and art objects designed by world-famous designers. She made, among others the famous dressing table for the Duchess de Berry, Karolina Bourbon-Sicilian, daughter of Francis I Bourbon, King of Sicily. This piece of furniture is located today in the Louvre in Paris and is a top-class example of a piece of furniture in the Charles X style.
The condition is visible in the photos. The wood is in very good condition, there are gildings / chips and two rosettes are missing. The table top has traces of repair / gluing.
