A picture showing one of the episodes in the story of Cupid and Psyche. Psyche, despite the clear prohibition, decided to check what her lover looks like. The girl opens the curtain that covers the bed and sees a sleeping Cupid. Picture placed in a frame decorated with palmettes and pearl beads, so also referring to antiquity.
