EAGLE, marble, 1st half of the 19th century XX century

A stone figure of an eagle sitting on a rock. The varied color of the stone corresponds to the plumage of a bird of prey. To intensify this effect, rhythmically arranged arches were carved - imitating the arrangement of feathers and the whole was colored in places. A similar procedure is visible on the claws of the eagle. An inlaid eye adds character.
