A sculpture representing the six-pointed Kannon Nyoirin (Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara - his name is sometimes translated as "Listening to the cries of the world"). It is the Bodhisattva personifying compassion. The pensive face, supported by one of the hands, shows a figure wondering how to save all sentient beings. It sits on a base decorated with engraved ornaments showing, among others, lotus flowers.
