VERAICON - DROP, tin, baroque, 17th / 18th century

A homemade stoup in an interesting form. In the polygonal frame decorated with acanthus there is a representation of Saint Veronica holding a scarf with the face of Christ. The true image of the Savior (Latin icona vera) has a spatial form because it is also a reservoir for holy water.
