A sculpture depicting a young trumpeter from the 11th Battalion.

The boy was presented in a counterattack with his left arm resting on his hip and his right hand lowered along the body line. He holds a small trumpet in it.

He carries a backpack on his shoulders, as well as a long rifle resting on his left shoulder.

On his head is a representative headdress with a wide trim indicating the battalion number.

The boy's chubby face reflects sadness and despondency. Directing his eyes directly at the viewer, he seeks support or a word of encouragement.

Eutrope Bouret (1833-1906) - French sculptor trained under the supervision of Louis Buhot. From 1875, he regularly exhibited his works at the French Salons, receiving a distinction in 1885. He eagerly reached for historical and mythological themes. He performed his works in both bronze and marble.
