A sculptural representation of the Battle of Granicus. The clash of the Macedonian army with the Persian army is presented in a meticulous manner. The cluster of intertwined bodies is enclosed in a wide band with the inscription: PASSAGE DU GRANIQUE PAR ALEXANDRE LE GRAND. The whole is framed in a full-plastic frame, presenting birds in dense foliage.
