
EXTENDED TABLE, É. Gallé, France, ca. 1900
A narrow table characterized by a concave-convex line of the top. Stylized on the organic form of a simplified flower, it presents an inlaid floral decoration.
The top is supported by three straight legs with sabre feet. They are reinforced with a flat, three-sided joint, the wide surface of which creates a small surface presenting an inlaid floral bouquet.

Emile Gallane (1849-1904) - French designer creating in the Art Nouveau style. His versatility resulted in many works in the field of ceramics, glass, furniture and jewelry. He was the initiator and main representative of the Nancy school of art. His furniture is characterized by delicate decoration based on plant motifs.
