TRAVEL CUTLERY, gilt silver, France, 1809-1839
A set of travel cutlery in a case. The inscription on the case indicates that they themselves could have been a souvenir from the expedition. The knife handle has a mother-of-pearl lining, while the fork and spoon handles are distinguished by a simple decoration emphasizing their shape. The cutlery has been additionally refined with gilding.
