The "Norblin i Spółka" bronze factory was founded in 1820 on Długa Street in Warsaw. It produced table decorations and cooking utensils. In time, it was moved to Krakowskie Przedmieście, and finally to Chłodna Street, where a shop with bronze, plated and silver items was also opened.
In the 1860s, Ludwik Norblin formed a partnership with his brother-in-law, Teodor Werner, owner of a Warsaw silverware factory. In the 1880s, he bought the Buch Brothers plated goods factory with exclusive rights to their production
In 1886 he decided to move his entire enterprise to Żelazna Street, naming it "Factory of plated products of the merged companies Norblin i Spółka - Bracia Buch". After World War II, the Joint-Stock Company of Metal Factories established by him was nationalized, operating under the name of Walcowania Metali "Warszawa" .
