Władysław Hempel (1871-1944) - a Warsaw goldsmith and student of Antoni Riedel. In 1904 he received the craft title of master goldsmith. Shortly after that, in cooperation with his brother Stefan, he founded a silver and plated goods factory in Warsaw. Their activity focused mainly on silver tableware and haberdashery. Thanks to the rapid development of the company located at Krakowskie Przedmieście, the brothers' work resulted in the establishment of the Plate and Silver Factory located at the corner of Leszna and Wronia streets. As a result of events that took place during World War II, the factory was destroyed, and the activity itself ceased.
