AMOR BOWL, baroque, Spain, 17th century
Baroque bowl, painted under glaze. The central scene shows a tired cupid who, having abandoned his bow and quiver, is resting, perching on a field stone. The outer sides of the bowl are decorated with spiral grooves.
The bowl has an old crack that has been repaired and reinforced with metal bars in the past.
