THE DEPARTMENT WITH THE BIRTH OF CHRIST, bronze, 19th century

A stoup with an extensive iconographic shield depicting the scene of the birth of Christ.

The bas-relief is inscribed in a floral cartouche framed by symmetrical flows and graceful festoons. The actual representation was surrounded by a clamp band.

At its base there is a proper vessel for water with a lid topped with a pinpoint.
