PARADE CIRCUS, Europe, 16th century

Parade cuirass decorated with an extensive composition. In the center, the coat of arms with a double-headed eagle is supported by two putti. Above, an espagnolette motif flanked by griffins. The figures of halberdiers were placed under the sides of the cuirass. All motifs are surrounded by the ubiquitous flourish of plants.
