HOLY BISHOP, wood, 16th / 17th century

A figure of a bishop holding a book, most likely a saint. Perhaps the figure had some attribute in the other hand that would allow for more precise identification. The visually treated robe and the interestingly devoted face draw attention.

Good condition, one hand missing.
